1. Library Services & Facilities
- OPAC
Question: How can I find a book in IRC?
Answer: You can use our OPAC to locate our collection. You can access our OPAC through http://precise.petronas.com.my/search or from IRC website (OPAC Tab).
- Borrowing / Renewing
Question: How many items/materials, can I borrow from IRC?
Answer: For detailed information, kindly refer to our loan matrix.
- Fines
Question: How much fine being imposed to me if I forget to return borrowed IRC items?
Answer: Rates for overdue items are RM0.20 per item per day for book and RM1.00 per item per day for audio-visual materials.
- Lost books / Materials
Question: If I lost a borrowed item, how should I do?
Answer: You need to report any lost of borrowed items to Circulation Counter immediately. Any settlement for lost & replacement items will have several procedures depending on the type of items and its current condition. For further detailed, kindly contact Pn. Noraini Bt. - Photocopying & Printing
Question: Do IRC provide photocopying and printing service for users?
Answer: Yes, you need to purchase photocopying and printing prepaid card at Circulation Counter, IRC. For printing services, you can use E-resources PCs (No. 1 to 6) located at Level G behind User Advisory desk.
Charges for prepaid card as below:-

Notes: RM 5 deposit will be refunded for returned cards. Deposit will not be returned for the damaged card
- Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Question: What is interlibrary loan and how can I use this service?
Answer: ILL is a document delivery service where user can request materials from other libraries. You can request this service by downloading ILL form available on IRC website and submit it to ill_ircutp@petronas.com.my

- Information Literacy Program
Question: What is Information Literacy Program (IL) and how this program benefits me as students?
Answer: IL is a program designed for IRC users to promote effective use of library resources and facilities. For further information, kindly refer to IRC website (Information Literacy@IRC tab) or email to ircutp@petronas.com.my for any IL related enquiry.
- Journal Articles
Question: Where can I find journal article subscribed by IRC?
Answer: You can get a list of online resources from IRC website (e-Resources Tab). For username and password, please contact IRC by walk in or email to ircutp@petronas.com.my
- Bibliographic Management Tools (RefWorks & EndNote)
Question: What is a bibliographic management tools and how can these tools assist me?
Answer: Bibliographic management tools is a software that assist student/researcher to collect, manage and produce citation and bibliographic details for research/final year paper. Currently, IRC subscribed 2 (two) softwares (RefWorks 2.0 and EndNote) for the users. Please contact our Reference & Consultancy Unit for further information.
